Making decisions regarding elderly care and moving yourself or a loved one into a care home is no easy task and at Queens View Harbour Care home, we fully understand this. Our Care Home in South Ayrshire

Located just by the coast, residents of Queens View Harbour have fresh sea air, sand, and spectacular views right at their fingertips. Troon beach can be easily accessed by our residents and make a great family day out for when loved ones visit. The long stretch of sand is perfect for a day at the beach, and families can also make the most of being at the seaside with crazy golf, gardens, restaurants, and shops all within the town centre too.

Our team are very aware that we are in an advantageous location and go above and beyond to ensure our residents make the most of every little bit of the local area and the wider South Ayrshire area. Whether it’s a historical excursion to Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, or a day trip with the family to Heads of Ayr Farm Park, activities and opportunities are in abundance for residents and their loved ones.

We pride ourselves on the excellent care we are able to give our residents, which we do so by initially creating strong relationships with them and their families. In the admission stage, our team will work closely with residents and their loved ones to establish their medical needs and personal interests. We then create a personalised care plan which is unique to each resident and this is regularly monitored and changed if necessary. Residents can rest assured that this one-on-one support will continue throughout their stay with us.

At Queens View Harbour, we place great emphasis on not only caring for our residents’ medical needs, but also their general overall wellbeing. We recognise that our resident’s strive when they have continued access to their favourite hobbies, when they’re socialising with other people and also when they are able to pursue new interests. Our Activities Coordinator works extremely hard to ensure we are welcoming an array of entertainment to the home, and in producing an activities programme that both resonates with our residents and stimulates them.

It is also important to us that our residents feel as though our home is equally theirs and a place where they feel happy, safe and supported. We want life at Queens View Harbour Care Home to be as easy as possible for our residents, which is why our home has been designed to have all the modern comforts and necessities they can need. As a result, residents have complete access to luxury, furnished en-suite bedrooms equipped with TV and Nurse Call Systems, an in-house hairdressing salon, beautifully landscaped gardens with a putting green, and so much more.

Residential Care

Residential Care is perfect for those who may require additional support day-to-day but can generally lead an independent life. It is also ideal for older people who would benefit from the social aspects of group living.

We strive to create a warm and inviting home, offering residents an exceptional quality of life through varied care and facilities that have been designed to the highest standards. Through our personalised care plans and extensive activities programme, we can ensure our residents’ needs are fully met at all times.

Dementia Care

For those living with dementia, we offer specialised care by a team of compassionate and highly-qualified staff. We are proud that our care home in Ayrshire not only offers this type of care but also provides staff with ‘Promoting Excellence in Dementia Care Training’ to ensure that our residents are receiving nothing but the finest quality care.

The team at Queens View Harbour Care Home work exceptionally hard to support all our residents. Our Activities Coordinators are great and create a dementia-inclusive programme that is filled with various and inclusive activities.

Nursing Care

As with all of our care services, we provide Nursing Care around-the-clock and have Nursing Call Systems fitted in bedrooms and around the home so residents can rest assured that we will be there for them whenever they need us.

Nursing Care is most appropriate for those who require specialist care and assistance with both medical and personal care due to having higher dependence requirements, physical disabilities, and long-term health conditions.

Respite Care

Short-term care, otherwise known as Respite Care or Convalescence, is ideal for those who are in the process of recovery either from an illness or injury. Some people use this type of care as they transition out of hospital and others who are caregivers themselves use it as an alternative whilst they take time for themselves. Whatever the reasons, you can rest assured our team will make you feel comfortable and do all that they can to get you back on your feet.

Stays in Respite Care can vary in length. For some it may only be for a week or so, and others may need a couple of months. No matter how long our residents wish to stay, they will receive the same unrivalled level of care and have full access to the luxury facilities we have to offer.
