Queens View Harbour Care Home Celebrates ‘Very Good’ Care Inspectorate Rating

Our staff at Queens View Harbour Care Home are celebrating after the care home achieved a Grade 5 - Very Good, following a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.

The recent inspection took place with inspectors assessing the home in the key area ‘How well do we support people’s wellbeing?’
Following the two-day inspection, Queens View Harbour Care Home was awarded a Grade 5 – Very Good, recognising the quality of care and support being provided to residents.

The Care Inspectorate highlighted a number of strengths within the home, noting that people’s health and wellbeing benefited from “compassionate, responsive care delivered by staff who knew them well and promoted positive outcomes.”

Inspectors also recognised the importance placed on relationships, involvement and meaningful experiences, reporting that people experienced “meaningful relationships, welcoming family involvement and a range of activities that supported connection, choice and wellbeing.”

The full Queens View Harbour Care Home team was involved throughout the unannounced inspection, working closely together over the two days while continuing to ensure residents remained at the heart of everything they did.

Achieving a Grade 5 – Very Good is a fantastic result, but having the team acknowledged for their hard work, compassion and dedication makes it even more special.

The positive inspection result reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to creating a home where residents are known as individuals, supported to make choices and encouraged to maintain meaningful relationships with the people who matter most to them.

For the Queens View Harbour team, the Grade 5 result is an opportunity to celebrate their collective achievement while continuing to build on the high standards of care recognised during the inspection.
