There was a wonderful sense of celebration at Queens View Harbour Care Home as residents, families and staff came together to mark Easter with a series of fun, meaningful and memorable activities.

The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion, complete with a vibrant Easter-themed backdrop featuring balloons, bunny ears and seasonal touches. Residents and their loved ones were invited to capture special moments together, taking family photos that will be treasured for years to come.

Good Friday was marked with simple but meaningful traditions, as residents gathered in the café to enjoy delicious hot cross buns while spending quality time together. The warm and relaxed atmosphere made it a lovely way to reflect and connect.

In the afternoon, the home welcomed local nursery children, bringing an extra layer of joy and energy to the celebrations. The visit created heartwarming intergenerational moments, with residents and children sharing smiles, laughter and Easter fun.

The celebrations continued with an afternoon of live entertainment from Archie Clark, who had everyone singing along and even dancing to familiar tunes. The lively performance was the perfect way to round off the Easter festivities, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the home.

Adding to the excitement, residents also took part in a fun “Guess the Rabbit’s Name” competition, with congratulations going to Dorothy Sprang for choosing the winning name, Flopsy.
