We think that residents at Queens View Harbour Care Home should be able to get the most out of every day of their stay. Our hardworking team strives to provide a wide range of options so that residents have everything they need to live a full and diverse life. We encourage all residents to continue doing what makes them happy, whether it’s reading a book in the yard or taking part in an Arts & Crafts session.

Our Activity Coordinator plans weekly events such as sing-alongs, ceramics, and movie days to be both entertaining and accessible. Our Activities Program provides a variety of activities and alternative therapies, such as memory boxes and reminiscing, for persons with memory loss. We also organise a number of tours to Troon’s most popular sights and enjoy forming bonds with the local community.

We value our residents’ ability to make decisions and govern their own lives, and we make every effort to provide them with as much independence as possible. Residents have multiple opportunities each week to participate in a range of fascinating activities, either alone or in a group setting, thanks to our competent and incredibly talented Activity Coordinator.

No, you won’t have to worry about additional costs associated with our entertainment programme, as it comes as part of the overall fee that a resident pays.

Our entertainment programme ranges from musicians and theatre shows, to magicians and even animal therapy. We hope to provide a source of entertainment that interests everyone.

It is important to us that entertainers visit frequently, and that means arranging performances regularly within our activities and entertainment programme. We value the feedback of our residents and therefore some performers will return to our home following a successful visit.
