Each month, our Activities Team work exceptionally hard to bring the residents of Queens View Harbour a plethora of activities and opportunities for them to continue much-loved hobbies, pursue new interests and socialise with one another.
For the month of July, we have a jam-packed schedule that we would like to share, to show just what sort of life residents at Queens View Harbour have.
When creating our activities programmes, the team are mindful of everyone's personal preferences and interests, incorporating them into a schedule that appeals to all.
For those who like to keep active, we plan Yoga sessions, chair exercises and walks around the grounds. For our residents who like to enjoy life at a more leisurely pace, we host a variety of activities which can be enjoyed either in the home or in the garden weather permitting, such as hand massages, crafts and coffee afternoons.
We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive activities programme for all to get involved with, and our residents with dementia benefit from activities such as our reminiscence afternoons, music sessions and film viewings.
At times throughout the year, we plan activities that are in keeping with social and national holidays such as an American-themed day for the 4th of July.
This month, we are introducing 'Summer Cruise Week" where as a home, we explore different countries and cultures through activities, food and drink. We try to create activities and events that are both educational, engaging and varied so that no two days are the same for our residents and they always have something to look forward to.
