An Afternoon Celebrating Robert Burns

Queens View Harbour Care Home celebrated Burns Night on Tuesday 25th January. Burns Night is a celebration of the life of the bard Robert Burns, his Scottish poetry, his legacy and his contribution to Scottish culture.

The residents at Queens View Harbour Care Home in Troon celebrated Burns Night enjoying some Scottish music played on the bagpipes by Pipe Bryce and a delicusous meal laid on by our in house Chef Derek.

Following the traditional Scottish Fare, complete with addressing the Haggis by Bryce the Piper. The residents were then visited by True Colours with a musical performance keeping everyone entertained with a selection of "well-kent" songs on their Ukeleles!

We can truly say that our first Burns Celebration was definitely a success.

At Queens View Harbour we regularly encourage our residents to join in on the series of events that we have to offer, as it brings everyone together. It is the perfect opportunity to build new relationships whilst spending quality time with one another and trying out new activities.

Our devoted team at Queens View Harbour work hard on ensuring our residents experience no two days the same. Whether they are participating in Weekly Entertainment, Arts and Crafts, or enjoying social events with one another, we can be sure that they achieve the most out of each and every day.

There is always an abundance to do at our care home, from experiencing the many impressive facilities such as our dedicated Cinema Room, taking a leisurely stroll in the Wonderful Gardens, or staying active and participating in our Games and Recreation activities, our residents will never be short on things to do.
If you would like to find out more information regarding the activities we have to offer at Queens View Harbour Care Home, or the first-class care services we have to offer, then please do get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
